Should have added this to our last post. This link shows the closet metro stop to our place. Our street is just a few blocks to the east from here. You can find the Eiffel tower to the Northwest and Invalides to the East. Follow Boulevard de la Tour Maubourg across the river and past the Grand Palais until you intersect the Champs Elysee. A short walk to the right is Place de la Concorde (see New Year's Eve photos) and to the left is Arc de Triomphe (or Etoile).

When Noel and I stayed in Paris a couple years ago we were right around the corner at Hôtel Eiffel Rive Gauche

Yeah, we love the neighborhood even more now that we have explored a bunch of the city. Close to everything, but still on a quiet street.
