Jen and I tried both of those as appetizers and then ordered Croustillant de crevettes relevé au basilic, pommes grenailles rissolées (fried shrimp with potatoes)
and bar grille puree patate douce (grilled seabass with pureed sweet potato)
and finally an Ile Flottante (floating island - meringue floating on custard) for dessert!
We caught a glimpse of the chef as he appeared in the dining room wearing a pink, paisley shirt with a white vest on top and barked some orders in French at a cowering waiter. Not sure if we care much for his clothing style, but we love his food. Only two more of his restaurants to go!

Another Friday, another great meal...
On Friday night, Jen and I decided to visit another one of our newly discovered chef's, Christian Constant, restaurant. He is the same chef that owns Violin d'Ingres where we ate last Friday when our friends came into town. This time we chose Cafe Constant - his tiny and informal version of a cafe. Unlike other "cafe's" in Paris, this didn't have the standard fare on the menu such as Croque Madame/Monsieur, simple soups and salads. Instead, he has great dishes such as Velouté de potiron,émiettés de châtaignes (pumpkin soup with chestnuts) and Ravioli de langoustine relevé au basilic, sauce crustacés (lobster ravioli with basil and seafood sauce).
